Is Kinsly really free?

Yes — the core CRM you see in the Free tier (clients, projects, tasks, contacts, timeline, search, export) stays free for the Phase 1 feature set. Phase 2 features (email automation, smart reminders, calendar integration) will require an upgrade when they ship; pricing will be announced before launch and you will not be auto-charged.

Is it ready for production use?

It is in active development and used in production by the creator. The core flows are stable, the database is backed up regularly, and the roadmap is published openly. That said, this is a one-person project — see the “What if Kinsly shuts down?” question below.

Where is my data stored?

The primary application server is in New York, USA (Contabo). Database backups land in Frankfurt, EU (Digital Ocean). Routing goes through Cloudflare. The full sub-processor list — names, jurisdictions, and safeguards — lives in the Data Processing Agreement. All cross-border transfers are covered by the EU 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses.

Can I export my data?

Yes. CSV-style export of clients, projects, tasks and contacts is part of the Free tier and is not gated behind a future paywall. It will always be possible to take your data out without asking permission.

What if Kinsly shuts down?

You will get advance notice via email and an extended export window. The data export works without a paid plan, so you can always retrieve everything you put in. The creator's commitment is documented in the Terms of Service.

How is my privacy protected?

No advertising or tracking cookies are set without explicit consent. Default consent in EU/EEA is “denied” for ad and analytics storage in line with Google Consent Mode. The full breakdown lives in the Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

How do I get support?

Email [email protected] for any question, bug, or feature request. Inside the CRM, the Help & support button (above Logout in the sidebar) opens the same channel.

About the Creator

My name is Sergey, and I'm a senior software engineer with over 10 years of experience building secure, robust, and scalable systems. For years, I've worked on complex enterprise software, and I've seen firsthand how powerful tools can be.

But I also saw a huge gap. The solo freelancers and creators — the backbone of the creative economy — were being ignored. That's why I'm building Kinsly. My mission is to apply my expertise to create a tool that is not just powerful, but also beautiful, simple, and empowering for the individual.
